Commission Term Vacancy

The Lyman County Commissioners are currently soliciting Lyman County citizens who are interested in fulfilling a two and half year commission term. The appointment will be made July 10, 2018. Interested parties can contact the Auditors Office in person or at (605) 869-2247.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CREATION OF TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE
LYMAN COUNTY

Notice is hereby given pursuant to § 11-9-3 of the South Dakota Codified Laws, that a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in Lyman County Courthouse, 300 s. Main Avenue, Kennebec, South Dakota, in the Commission Room by the Planning Commission on the question of whether to recommend the formation of a tax incremental district to be located in the following location:

Lot 1, Dakota Mill & Grain Addition in Outlots 136 & 137 & in the S½ of Sec. 11-105-77 Presho Twp. (Unorganized) Hoelscher
Lot 2, Dakota Mill & Grain Addition in the N½ of the SE¼ and the N½ of the SW¼, all in Sec. 12-105-77 Presho Twp. (Unorganized) Q Garnos
Lot 3, Dakota Mill & Grain Addition in Government Lot 3 and in the NE¼ of the SW¼, all in Sec. 7-105-76 Earling Twp. (Unorganized) C Garnos

The tax increment district would be created to assist with public improvements related to the construction of a grain facility.

At said time and place, the Planning Commission shall give all parties who appear or submit written comments an opportunity to express their views with respect to the proposed creation of the district and its proposed location.  Written comments will be received at the office of the Auditor until the date and time set for the public hearing.
